J.L. Burnes

JL. Burnes grew up in Laurel, Mississippi, where a fourth-grade teacher introduced him to storytelling. His writing is influenced by science fiction, fantasy, and speculative stories that explore survival, adventure, and the ever-present wonder in the world. He is a Marine Corps veteran, former blacksmith, and currently works as a software engineer in Texas, where he lives with his wife and children, four cats, and one very patient dog.
